Introducing the book of Zand and Hooman Yassin and the biography of Ardeshir Papkan by Sadegh Hedayat
The book of Zand and Hooman Yassin and the biography of Ardeshir Babakan is the work of Sadegh Hedayat; The book, which is called “Zand Vahman Yassin” or “Bahmanisht”, contains a series of events about the future of the Iranian nation and religion, which Ormazd foretells to Zoroaster. These events each take place in a specific period, the penultimate period, which is the bulk of the text during the invasion of the “tangled court of the seed of rage” and the demons of the leatherback.
During this period, the Zangians, the displaced and the lowly, invaded the land of Iran, burning, polluting and destroying everything, so much so that the big village became a city and the big city became ten and ten big, and something of that big dynasty. Except for a handful of bones. These regressive changes not only affect people; It also spreads to animals, plants and elements of nature. On earth and in heaven, there are signs like some of the signs in the Torah and the Bible.
Spots appear in the sun, the prevalence of crimes, barrenness of the earth, physical and spiritual corruption of the people are the signs of this period. The demon’s leash is broken and everything is damaged. The rules and traditions are no longer observed, hot and cold winds blow; But it does not rain. This situation becomes more and more difficult and darker, and the devil declares his victory loudly; But suddenly it opens in hope and the book ends with a more optimistic tone.

The present book is a translation of “Zand and Hooman Yassin” and “The Biography of Ardeshir Babakan” of Pahlavi literature by the efforts of Sadegh Hedayat (1330-1281). This book is one of the important works of Sadegh Hedayat.
