Description
The novel fall from grace book is the culmination of Daniel Steele.
The story begins on a rainy summer day; Sydney has lost his wife Andrew in an accident.
He became a widow at the age of 49 and has two daughters, Sophie and Sabrina.
Andrew’s half-daughters, Keira and Kelly, are also present at the funeral, along with their mother, Margery.
The day after Andrew’s lawyer Jesse Barkley was buried, his will was read, and Sydney, after hearing the text of the will, decided to move to Paris to continue his life.

He felt that he had destroyed Sabrina’s life and that his own life was no longer of value to him. He had seldom hurt anyone, but now that he had caused unspoken grief and hurt to Sabrina, he suddenly thought that his death would benefit them more than his life. It did not even occur to him that they might miss him and see this as getting rid of the problems. He thought that if he died, he would do this to make up for his mistakes.
