“Kelileh and Demneh” is one of the valuable books in Persian prose literature. This book is a collection of moral stories and anecdotes in Persian prose, which has been quoted from the composition of Nasrullah Munshi around 538-539 AH, from the Arabic translation of Abdullah Ibn Muqaffa into Persian.

The name of the book is due to the hypothetical name of two jackals – one named Kelileh and the other named Demneh – which are attributed to the court of the lion, the king of animals, and some early chapters of the book include their negotiations and disputes. The original book is in Hindi and Sanskrit and its contents are taken from two sources called Panj Taftra and Mahabharata.

This book was translated from Hindi to Pahlavi during the reign of Khosrow Anushirvan Sassanid by Borzoyeh Tabib and later translated into Arabic by Abdullah bin Muqaffa. Kelileh and Demneh have been considered by politicians from the very beginning of the Pahlavi quotation and later after its translation into Arabic, and both in the Sassanid period and in the Islamic era, it has been studied as such and in fact as a guide to civil politics. می‌کرده‌اند.
Although this book is beautiful and eloquent prose, but due to the complexity of some parts of it, it is difficult to use it completely and requires a complete and comprehensive description. He has made one of the most authoritative corrections on “Kelileh and Demneh” in the life of Master Minavi. In this work, he has also taken a critical approach to the writing of Nasrullah Munshi and has tried to extract and present the phrases that he believes were written by Nasrullah Munshi from among the various aspects he has observed in its various versions.

Kelileh and Demneh is one of the books of wisdom and knowledge that has been left from ancient times, a unique collection that has been translated into various languages; It was originally in Hindi and translated into Persian by Anushravan Khosrow, son of Ghobad, the Sassanid king. The characters in this work are animals, animals that are exposed to various and instructive events, adventures and events. The Persian translation of this work has been collected along with the required explanations in relation to the necessary sections in the present book.
