Description

The book “The way of the wizard : twenty spiritual lessons in creating the life you want” includes “Twenty spiritual lessons for creating the desired life” written by Dr. Deepak Chopra. Deepak Chopra has recently entered the world of fiction and his move has had different results. This time, he incorporated some folklore into “twenty spiritual lessons for creating the life of your choice.”

Introducing the book Elixir by Deepak Chopra

Deepak Chopra gives readers the tools to find enchantment by quoting the legends of perfection and using Arthur and Merlin as metaphors for the immortal seeker and inner wisdom.

This is the book that opens the Hindu wisdom in the story of King Arthur and the wizard Marilyn. Instead of teaching the reader directly, the lesson is told through stories about young Marilyn and Arthur.
Each lesson has a story, an explanation of the lesson and an explanation of the meaning of using the lesson in your life. This is a clever way to introduce these spiritual concepts to a person raised in a different culture, especially if one is interested in King Arthur’s stories. Even if you are not looking for spiritual concepts, you can learn life lessons from reading this book.

The first part of the book “Elixir” by Dr. Deepak Chopra prepares the reader’s mind to enter the world of alchemy, and then the second part of the book, “Twenty spiritual lessons to create the desired life.” In the third and final section of The Elixir, Deepak Chopra teaches the seven steps of alchemy, summarizing all that Marilyn taught Arthur.

About the book The way of the wizard :

twenty spiritual lessons in creating the life you want
I have been teaching the science of alchemy for thirty years and I have moved to Glastonbury (4) and the western part of the country. I climbed Mount Tour (5) and saw the hill that was supposed to be the abode of Arthur and his knights.

But sometimes it is more mysterious that the need for change brings me back to alchemy. Every year I feel that our time needs this elixir more than ever. Now that I’m grown up, I spend most of my professional time talking and writing about how to achieve complete freedom and success. It was only recently that I realized that what I was talking about was alchemy.

I finally came to the conclusion that one of the most exciting ways to deal with this is through one of the most amazing relationships ever recorded: the relationship between Marilyn and young Arthur in Crystal Cave.

As this book suggests, the Crystal Cave is a precious place in the human heart.
The safe haven of a wise voice that knows no fear, a refuge to which the tribulation of the outside world has no way. There has always been and will always be alchemy in the Crystal Cave: you just have to go in and listen. People today live in the alchemical world as much as people of previous generations.

Joseph Campbell, the great teacher of mythology, has said that anyone who waits on a street corner for a green light is waiting to enter the world of heroic deeds and mythical deeds. It does not just seize the opportunity.

We cross the street regardless of the sword that has sunk into the sidewalk. The journey to the miracle begins here. Now is the best time to start. There is no alchemist way in time: it is everywhere and nowhere; It belongs to everyone and no one belongs to it.

Part One: Entering the Alchemist World

People want to know why I – who come from India – am so interested in alchemists. My answer is: In India, we still believe that alchemists exist. What is an Alchemist? Not someone who can just convert metals, but someone who can make a difference.

An alchemist can turn fear into happiness and failure into camaraderie.
An alchemist can turn time-limited into timeless.
The alchemist can take you beyond the limits indefinitely.
When I grew up in India I knew all this was true. Sometimes old men in white shirts and sandals came to our house and even in front of the bewildered boy’s eyes, they looked very special creatures. They were completely calm.

Happiness and love emanate from them, as if the roaring ups and downs of daily life had not the slightest effect on them. We called them gurus or spiritual advisers. But it took me a long time to realize that gurus and alchemists are the same. Every society has its teachers, sages and healers. Guru was just another word for those who possessed spiritual wisdom.
In the West, the alchemist is mostly thought of as a sorcerer who engages in alchemy and turns copper into gold. Alchemy is also common in India (actually invented in India), but the word alchemy is truly a code word, meaning to turn people into gold, and to transform our despicable attributes – fear, ignorance, hatred and shame – into the most precious gem in existence. Love and success! So a teacher who can teach you how to transform yourself into a free and lovable human being is an alchemist and has always been an alchemist.

When I was in high school in New Delhi, I already knew a lot about the most famous alchemist in the Western tradition, Marilyn. Like everyone else, I fell in love with him immediately. It was not long before his whole world was opened to me.
