Description

The silent patient is the life story of a famous painter named Alicia Branson, who is married to a photographer named Gabriel and has a seemingly good life.

They live in cozy houses with large windows in one of the aristocratic areas of London.
Until one night Alicia shoots her husband five times in the face when she returns home from work, after which she says no more. Deadly silence that has many secrets…

Alex Micheldis was born in Cyprus in 1977 to a Cypriot-Greek father and an English mother.

He studied English literature at the University of Cambridge and received a bachelor’s degree in screenwriting from the American Film Institute in Los Angeles.

Michelades wrote two screenplays in 2013 and 2018, and soon established himself as a screenwriter.

But in 2019, he started writing novels and suddenly his name came to the fore.
Silent Patient is his first novel, but the surprising success of the first one probably makes him more of a novelist instead of a screenwriter in describing him.

The Silent Patient topped the New York Times bestseller list and other reputable listings and sites immediately after its release in early 2019, and remained on the list for many weeks.

Gabriel Branson was assassinated six years ago. He was forty-four years old. He was assassinated on August 25 in the unusual heat of summer.

You may remember that they recorded the highest temperature at that time. The day he died was the hottest day of the year. On the last day of his life, he woke up early in the morning.
At 5:15 a.m., a car drove him from his north-west London home, where he lived with Alicia, to the outskirts of Hepstead and went to Shurditch for photography.

He spent all day photographing models on the roof. Not much is known about Alicia’s work.

He was about to hold an exhibition and was busy with his work. He probably spent all day painting at the end of the garden, in a pavilion that he later turned into a studio.

Gabriel was photographing late and did not return home until eleven o’clock. Half an hour later, their neighbor, Barbie Hellman, heard gunshots.
Barbie called police, and at 11:35 p.m., a car was dispatched from Hoverstock Hill Station and arrived at Branson’s home within three minutes.

Sick off
I had seen Ruth some time before Katie met, and I continued my treatment for the first three years of my relationship with Katie.

I remember Ruth’s advice well after my first contact with Katie. “Choosing a lover is very similar to choosing a therapist.

“We have to ask ourselves whether he is honest with me, listens to my criticisms, allows me to make mistakes and makes impossible promises.”

Then I told Katie all this and she said let’s make a pact. We swore never to lie to each other.

Let us never pretend and always be honest. I said, “What happened? “So what happened?”
Ruth thought for a moment. His words surprised me. “I think if you confess to yourself, you will know the answer.”

I shook my head. “I do not know. I do not know.”

Annoying silence ensued. Suddenly I imagined Katie writing those passionate emails. To her excitement and secret relationship with the man.

That he enjoys stealth. Like role playing. But this time off the stage. Finally, I said, “I think he’s tired.”

“Why do you say that?”
“Because he needs excitement. To drama. It has always been so. I think we did not have any fun moments together and I was always stressed and working hard. “We have been arguing about this lately, and he has always used the word ‘fireworks’.”

“Fire works?”

“Of course he did not say anywhere. “It was just between us.”

«اها. I understand.” He shook his head. “We talked about it before. “Is not it?”

“About fireworks?”
“About love. About how much we make mistakes because of fireworks in love. Because of drama and work mistakes. But true love is very calm and motionless.

And if you do not see it much in terms of drama, it is boring. Love is deep and cold. And of course stable.

I think you love Katie in the true sense of the word. “Whether he likes it or not, he can give it back to you in other ways.”
