About the book Silence of the Lambs:
Dr. Hannibal Lecter was only a minor character in The Red Dragon, but Thomas Harris in The Silence of the Lambs made him a central figure in the story. In 1988, “Silence of the Lambs” consistently topped the bestseller books in the United States and was well received in other European countries.

Three years later, Jonathan Demi made a film based on the novel of the same name and cast Dr. Lecter as Anthony Hopkins. The result was extraordinary, the audience and critics alike welcomed the film, and the director won an Oscar.

Synopsis of the book Silence of the Lambs:
Clarice Sterling is a young girl with a degree in psychology who is training in crime management.

He is being handled by the FBI in connection with the case of a serial killer named Buffalo Bell. This killer skinns his victims, who are all women, and sews clothes for himself. In the meantime, only one person can help them, and that is none other than the cannibalistic psychiatrist named Hannibal Lecter, who has previously dealt with Buffalo!

Lecter was previously a psychiatrist but has now been sentenced to life in prison and is being held in a mental hospital; Because he is a cannibal and is considered a very dangerous creature, so much so that FBI agents are afraid of him.
Despite all this, the FBI Director believes that Dr. Lecter is able to help them find Buffalo Bill. They have not yet been able to identify Buffalo Bell, and the only thing he knows about him is his fake name.

Sterling visits Lecter with great fear, and a strange relationship develops between him and the cannibal behind the bars of the sanatorium, a relationship that binds their destinies together.
The amazing success of The Silence of the Lambs prompted Harris to write the rest of the story, and Hannibal’s book, though it did not live up to The Silence of the Lambs, won over fans.

In this thriller novel, Hannibal is no longer free and has a quiet life in Italy, but one of Dr. Lecter’s former victims of cannibalism, who is now out of his normal life, does anything to seek revenge, and Clarice’s foot is opened to the story.

The American author was born on April 11, 1940, and is best known for writing a collection of novels about Hannibal Lecter.

All of Thomas Harris’ works have been turned into films, and the most famous of these is called The Silence of the Lambs. Harris began his career as a criminal journalist, and after a while he progressed very fast.

His first novel, Black Sunday, was published in 1975, and two years later John Frankenheimer made an adaptation of it. His next novels were The Red Dragon, 1981; The Silence of the Lambs was 1988 and Hannibal was 1999.

In a part of the book Silence of the Lambs, we read:
“Lecter is really a nuisance,” Sheilton turned his head. It regularly takes ten minutes each day for the letters, magazines and newspapers sent to him to be moved. We tried to remove his subscriptions to reduce their number, but he wrote a letter to the court and we had to leave him alone.

The number of his personal letters is very large. Thank God, their number has recently decreased, because the new news has overshadowed him.
For a while, it seemed that few students writing a doctoral dissertation on psychology wanted to include lectures in their dissertation. “Medical journals still publish them, but mostly because of Lecter’s reputation.”

“I think he wrote an interesting article about surgical addiction in the journal Clinical Psychology,” Sterling said.
“You do, don’t you?” We tried to examine Lecter and thought that this was the best opportunity to do a thorough research. “Rarely can a living specimen be found.”
“A living example of what?”

“From a complete anti-social point of view, he really is such a creature. But it is impenetrable and very complicated and misleading for standard and standard tests. He hates us and thinks I am his Azrael. Crawford is very smart, isn’t he? “In the case of Lecter, he uses you.”
