Excerpts from the book The Hero Girl (text pleasure)

The governor had just reported that a beautiful nine-year-old girl jumped out of a window into a room. He raised his eyebrows and got up, opened the locked room and ordered the girl to leave. The girl shrugged and said, “If you kill me, I will not go out.”

The governor, who treated Ishmael like a slave to the kingdom, listened and said something. Ismail said there was no problem. Then he turned to his brother and said that we should not stay in this house tonight and tomorrow. Now we should get on board and change the house. Then he got up and his brother got up. The girl moaned and said take me too, you must take me wherever you go! Ismail smiled and said: You stay at home, we will return tomorrow evening.
The little girl cried and, as she tapped her little feet on the ground, said, “I will not stay here without you.” The two brothers together with the governor and a woman who was their servant, left the house. They mounted their saddled horses, and set off on all fours. The girl ran out of the house behind them. In a few steps, he saw two saddled horses in front of the neighbor and a servant waiting for his master. The girl, in the same childish tone and manner as the acquaintance, asked the servant to ride her horse for a moment.
