Colin Hoover was born on December 11, 1979 in Sulfur Springs, Texas. He grew up in Saltillo and graduated from Saltillo High School in 1998. In 2000, he married Heath Hoover and now has three sons. Hoover graduated from Texas A&M Commers University with a degree in Social Services. Prior to writing, she worked in social services and teaching.
In November 2011, Colin began writing his first novel, Closed; Without intending to print it. He was inspired by a song by the August Brothers. That’s why you included their song in his story.

A few months later, his novel was reviewed, and Maris Black, a great blogger, gave him five stars. After that, sales skyrocketed, and the package, followed by a setback, were both listed in the New York Times bestseller list.
