Description

Introducing the book The art of being kind by Stephen Einhorn
Being truly good and positive is truly an art. One day I met a man who had lost a loved one in an accident. He told me what had happened in the hospital emergency room. “Everyone was very kind,” he said.

Do you know who helped us the most?

I began to speculate that he may have been a nurse, a doctor, or a hospital priest. The man shook his head and said: No, he was a hospital nurse; Because he sat next to us in the room.
He did not say much for a relatively long time. He did not do much, but he was sitting next to us and paying attention to us, and said: “I thank him for this work as long as I live.” What he did that day was a sign of love and kindness.

Every day we meet with hundreds of our fellow human beings at home, on the bus, in the shop, at work, and in each of these encounters, we decide how to communicate with our brothers and sisters. You can say that life actually consists of these encounters. These connections give meaning to life.

Being kind is not always easy.

To allow others to go their own way – even if they are wrong and the consequences of their actions are destructive – does not mean to be a good and kind human being.
Also, being good does not mean allowing others to abuse us or forcing us to do something against our nature. Rather, being good is a quality that we must treat with the utmost caution. In certain cases, you may have to do something that others may not think is good, and this is one of the reasons why I wrote this book entitled “Good Art.” To be “I have acted. Being really good and positive is really an art.

People believe that human beings are evil in nature and that what happens between human beings is evil, but I do not believe so. My belief is the exact opposite of what they believe. I believe that many of the things we do for each other are good and most people They try to do the right thing.

I give a lot of lectures on ethics and how we should treat our fellow human beings.

As an introduction, I usually ask the audience what human qualities would you like to have as a human being? I usually allow them to choose between traits such as being smart, being creative and creative, being qualified to work, having a sense of humor and being rich.

They can also choose to be a good human being as their attribute. More than 90% of the audience chooses this attribute for themselves. This percentage automatically indicates the fact that our priority as human beings is among the various attributes. Humanity is a characteristic of being good and we even consider it beyond endless wealth or extraordinary intelligence.
Here I have to emphasize an important factor that may seem obvious, and that is whether I myself am an example of a good human being or not. The answer is no, but I have always tried to be good and live well. No human is perfect, so we must be careful of those who claim to be perfect.

The day we think we have become perfect human beings is the day we have to start all over again. A person who is completely and absolutely good is just a mirage. We must do our best in this direction, but we will never achieve it. Despite knowing that we will never easily become perfect human beings, we can choose to be good human beings and do our best to be good.
