Description

Five Dialogues: Euthyphro, Apology, Crito, Meno, Phaedo. In this book, the translations of the treatises of Lachs, Lucis, Ion, and Protagoras from the treatises of the first period and the party of the treatises of the second period are considered by the readers. From Plato, whose immortal works have always preoccupied scholars, numerous memoirs are left, often in the form of dialogue with this poet-philosopher. Socrates seeks the truth and leads others in a way that is unique to him.

Readers who have no knowledge of the situation of Socrates and Plato should refer to one of the books on the history of philosophy before beginning to read these treatises. In Persian, the best books that have dealt with this subject are the works of the late Foroughi. Those who want to know more about the divinity of Socrates and Plato can refer to “The Wisdom of Socrates and Plato: Volume One”. A more brief discussion of this issue can be found in the first volume of The Journey of Wisdom in Europe by the same author.
For each of the translated treatises, an introduction is written in which the importance of the treatise in terms of the philosophical evolution of Plato’s thought is summarized and a brief discussion of the persons of the treatise is mentioned.
