Introducing the book فیه ما فیه by Jalaluddin Mohammad Balkhi (Maulana)

The three prose works of Rumi Fih Mafia are Maktoobat (also called Makatib) and Majalis Sab’a. But among these three prose works, the letter is the only work written by Rumi himself. “Fih Mafia” and “Majalis” are the sayings and teachings that Rumi uttered and his followers wrote.
“Fih Mafia” is a book that was compiled after the death of Rumi (672 AH) and of course the name given to it is not Rumi. Therefore, in the old versions, it is sometimes called Al-Asrar Al-Jalaliyah and sometimes Fih Mafia. In the afternoon, some manuscripts have written verses in which the mafia is used. According to Badi-ul-Zaman Forouzanfar, the name of this book is taken from the following passage which is mentioned in the conquests of Mecca by Mohi-ud-Din Ibn Arabi:
The book is in us, it is in the novel, in the meaning, if our iniquity is in the burning of the heart.

Excerpts from the book Fihi Ma Fihi

Now the prophets and saints do not fight. The first Mujahideen they sought was self-murder and abandonment of intentions and lusts, and that is the Great Jihad, and when they arrived and arrived and settled in a safe place, their crooked and straight hair was discovered. They know and see the right from the crooked, they are again in a great struggle because all the crooked acts of this people and they see and tolerate that if they do not say and say and express their crookedness, one person will not stand in front of them and no one will greet them.

Do not disturb a Muslim.

The book Fih Mafia was first published in Tehran in 1335 with a critical correction by Badi’al-e-Zaman Forouzanfar. It has been translated into English several times, and Arthur Arbery has translated it as Discourses of Rumi.
Tuxton also translated it into English as Sign of The Unseen.

Even for Persian speakers, the meaning of Fih Mafia is not clear. Its literal translation should be “in it is what is in it”, or by taking a passage from Hatef Esfahani’s poem “in him is what is in him”. It may be more appropriate to call Rumi’s lectures following Arbri Fih Mafia. The German translation of Fih Mafia was published in 1988 by Anhemari Schimmel. Fih Mafia was also translated into Kurdish by Ali Nanavazadeh in 2006 and published in the Iraqi Kurdistan region by the Mukriani Publishing Center.

Part of the book Fihi Ma Fihi

The book is organized in approximately seventy chapters, here are 10 of them:

First Chapter
Human fantasies are like a tent and is hidden in someone’s tent. Whenever fantasies arise and truths occur, the resurrection of man appears, man is the astrologer of truth, because he has made him the Supreme Being, the All-Knowing.

second chapter
Prayer is not only the outward form, this outward form is the form of prayer, and the inside of prayer is immersion and anesthesia from which all forms remain, even Gabriel, which is the pure meaning, does not fit into the truth and interior of prayer.

Chapter III
There is one thing in the world that cannot be forgotten, and that is that man has come to this world to do something, and it comes from man that does not come from the heavens or the earth, and when man does it, he is oppressed and ignorant. Is denied.

Fourth Season
According to the verse “Inma Tolwa Fatham Wajh Allah”, their lovers have sacrificed this face and do not ask for anything in return. If we are in pain, Jesus will give birth to us.

Chapter Five
Mystics want to catch the people of this world in order to reach another height and fall into the trap of the Hereafter, just as the Holy Prophet conquered Mecca and the land for it to give life to all and give dignity to the light, Does not fit.

Chapter Six
The Almighty is the servants who see before the last resurrection, as Ali ibn Abi Talib (peace be upon him) says: That is, when they take the mold and the resurrection appears, my certainty does not increase, so the resurrection is apparent and present for them.

Chapter Seven
If a person asks which is more virtuous than prayer? The answer is that the soul of prayer is better than prayer, and the second answer is that faith is better than prayer, and unbelieving prayer does not benefit and is like the prayer of hypocrites.

Chapter Eight
The Almighty has created the masks for expediency, and if the beauty of the unmasked right appears, no one will be able to enjoy it. When the Almighty appeared on the mountain in hijab, he was also adorned with trees, flowers and greenery.

Chapter IX
For God Almighty, there are men and saints who are never revealed for the sake of greatness and zeal. But to bring the Taliban to serious goals and bless them. Rumi referred to the story of personal squabbling in this regard and draws interesting conclusions from it.

Chapter Ten
People think that saying the truth is a big claim. While Ana al-Haqq is a great humility to say, because she does not lose herself and gives up. It is difficult to say “Ana al-Abd”, because in Ana al-Abd it proves two beings, one is one’s own existence and the other is the existence of God; While this is not the case in Ana al-Haqq.
