Description

Mark Dogan’s campagne anglaise can easily be called a romance novel, but not a light and meaningless romance novel. In this book, Dogan describes the ups and downs of human life, which is confusing. English Summer has won the Goncourt Prize and the French Academy Grand Prix Novel.

The protagonist of this story, while having all kinds of expectations from life and its pleasures, does not know exactly what he is looking for, and this confusion and hesitations and total hesitations deprive him of the power to make decisions. This causes them to act where they need to exercise restraint, which is naturally the result of both catastrophic behaviors. But at the age of forty, he finally leaves her confused and confused.

The summer novel tells the life story of a girl who has had problems since she was young and finds problems with her husband after marriage. This girl has fallen into a circle of hell that makes every part of it fall apart. Due to the problems his wife caused him: that he disappeared and hid himself, he left the daughter of the family, while their love was a lasting love.
Marc Dugain, in addition to choosing interesting and motivating topics, also has an eloquent pen, and his language is a kind of secret to telling the reader, like two old groups that are in pain.

In a part of the campagne anglaise camp (campagne anglaise) we read:
I lay in bed lying down and staring at the ceiling. I was shocked to hear this story told to me without a veil. When he returned and I was amazed at the strength of his will, he replied:

“After that incident, I decided to commit suicide once or twice, but I was not satisfied. I thought if I did that, I would give him everything the man wanted to take from me; I mean my life. I never threw myself into the arms of the first man who came my way to forget this incident. “I waited to be interested in a man, which I would have done if it had not happened.”

We were together until night. He had become the twin of me and I his angel. There was never a word about that incident again. He was twenty-three years old and I was his first love and first favorite man. He had been waiting for such a situation for eight years. But I waited my whole life for it, without knowing it myself. He was the one who made me start all over again, from a young age.
After that, I had a period full of peace and tranquility; Like those who have found life again, but not the life of the past, but a new life with self-sacrifice, in which you forget yourself and disappear from the other. We went out every night. I was proud to be with him; Proud of being able to rekindle love in the heart of an exceptional woman.

About the book campagne anglaise
“English Summer” is a novel by Marc Dogan (1957-), an English writer from C عte d’Ivoire, who won the Goncourt Prize and the Grand Prix for his novel The French Academy. Mark Dogan also won the 2005 Sabel Dulon Literary Prize. This is Mark Dogan’s third book after The Cursed Kennedy Family and The Officers’ Room. In this book, Dogan describes the ups and downs of the life of a man named Harold Dlammer, who is confused and at the same time seeks all the pleasures of life.

He does not know what he wants from life and his behaviors are not considered in all situations of life. He speaks where he should be silent and where he should be patient. It accelerates. He meets a girl named Julia, whose job, in his own words, is to warm up and entertain guests. He invites him to his summer and an interest is formed between them but it does not last.

One day, after spending his love affairs and wanderings in a concert, Delamer meets a man named Paul Hammer, and after a while, they become intimate. Dlammer invites him to his house and tells him his strange and catastrophic story, and at the end something unexpected happens. A letter arrives from Julia, confronting Dlammer with another hesitation.
Parviz Shahdi says about this work: “English Summer” is a semi-romantic and semi-psychological work that covers important issues. It has many psychological themes. The novel could have been up to 500 pages, but since Dogan summarizes the material, the number of pages is less; In some parts, while it can be real, it becomes fantasy; “We do not know everything in life. Many people have extraordinary powers that human beings have not yet been able to trace and know.” And Dogan talks about these forces.
