Description

Brief answers to the big questions are the work of Stephen Hawking, a contemporary scientist and genius. In this book, Steven answers ten basic questions in the field of existence and the universe and human intelligence.

The answers he was still working on at the time of his death.

Steven’s answers to six of these questions are deeply rooted in his science. (Is there a god? How did the universe begin? Can we predict the future? What is inside each black hole? Is time travel possible? How should we shape the future?).

His answers to the other four fundamental questions are not entirely rooted in his science. (Will we be saved on Earth? Is there another intelligent life in the universe? Do we have to make space habitable? Will AI surpass us?)

In a part of the book and in answer to the question, how did the universe begin? we read:

“Everyone was not happy that the universe had a beginning. Aristotle, one of the most famous Greek philosophers, for example, believed that the universe existed from the beginning. What is eternal is more perfect than what is created.

According to Aristotle, the reason we are witnessing the progress of civilization is that floods or other natural disasters have constantly brought civilization to its beginning. The motivation for believing in the eternal world was to cut off the divine hand from the creation and operation of the universe. “Some who believed that the universe had a beginning, saw it as evidence of the existence of God as the ultimate cause, or the main driver of the universe.”

Our minds sometimes come across questions that are very challenging; For example: Is there a creator ?, How did the universe begin ?, and several other questions. These questions are sometimes answered right or wrong in our minds and can vary depending on each person’s mood. You will find answers to such questions in The Short Answers to Basic Questions by Stephen Hawking.

Stephen Hawking was one of the greatest physicists of the contemporary age, ending his life in recent years. Another best-selling book by Stephen Hawking is The Big Plan, previously produced and published by Awanameh Audio. We will hear great personality answers to several challenging questions.

Avanameh Audio Publishing, in collaboration with Maziar Publications and with the voice of Arman Soltanzadeh, has produced and published the audio version of the book “Short Answers to Basic Questions”. The answer to the biggest mystery at the heart of the Big Bang is to explain how this great, glorious world full of energy and space can emerge from nothing. This mystery lies in one of the strangest facts in the universe.
The laws of physics allow the existence of a concept called “negative energy”. To help you understand this unfamiliar but important concept, I will make a simple comparison. Imagine that someone wants to build a hill on a flat plot of land. This hill remains the universe. To build this hill, he digs a hole in the ground and builds this hill with its soil. But this person is not just building the hill, he is, in a sense, building a negative version of the hill, which is the hole.

The famous cosmologist and physicist Stephen Hawking, in his book Short Answers to Fundamental Questions, is supposed to answer the greatest and most controversial philosophical and fundamental questions of humanity. The book became a New York Times bestseller, and the Guardian and Forbes named it one of the best books of 2018.

About the book Short answers to the basic questions:
Mankind has always sought answers to its fundamental and important questions; Questions like: Where did we come from? How did the universe begin? What is the plan and meaning behind this world? Is there another outside of this world? Is time travel possible? In the audiobook Short Answers to the Big Questions, Stephen Hawking expresses his scientific and personal views on the greatest intellectual challenges of human beings.

Stephen Hawking was the most famous scientist after Einstein, best known both for his pioneering work in physics and cosmology and for his own sense of humor. He has always believed that science has a fundamental role to play in solving the planet’s problems, and that now that humanity is facing enormous challenges such as climate change, the threat of nuclear war, and the development of artificial intelligence, an answer must be found to human concerns; Questions such as Will humanity survive? Should we colonize space? does God exist? And…
The author of the book Short Answers to Basic Questions tries to answer these questions by reasoning and proposing scientific theories.

This is Steven’s latest book, taken from his personal archive and completed before his death. The book is now being completed in collaboration with Steven’s family and his college colleagues.

Learn more about Stephen Hawking:
One of the great physicists and scientists of the last century who revolutionized cosmology with his theories is Stephen Hawking. Born in 1942 in the United Kingdom, he was director of research at the Center for Theoretical Cosmology at the University of Cambridge at the time of his death, and taught mathematics at the same university from 1979 to 2009.

Born in Oxford to a family of medical parents, he began his university studies at Oxford College University in October 1959 at the age of 17, where he achieved great success in physics. The great scientist began his postgraduate studies at Trinity Hall College in 1962 and received his Ph.D. in Applied Mathematics and Theoretical Physics in 1966 with a major in general relativity and cosmology.

At the same time, Stephen Hawking was diagnosed with ALS, and doctors told him he would not survive for several months. However, he was able to live and continue his scientific work for many years; However, he was constantly in a wheelchair and could not move any of his limbs.
Stephen Hawking is known in the world of science for his research on quantum gravity, and in the 1970s, with the great physicist Roger Penrose, he showed that black holes are realities in the universe that are justified by Einstein’s theory of gravity (general relativity). The physicist’s new theory also predicted that black holes radiate, which is now known as Hawking radiation.

Finally, he died in 2018 at the age of 76, after battling motor neurone disease for about 50 years.

Some of the important and translated works of this scientist are: “History of time, our place in the universe: the theory of everything (origin and destiny of the universe), the grand plan and my life.”

Stephen Hawking Honors:
He has been elected a Fellow of the Royal Society of England.
The Grand Plan book became one of Amazon’s most controversial and best-selling books in 2010.
Received the Presidential Medal of Freedom as the highest civilian award in the United States.
– About 237 weeks in history, the book was included in the list of the best-selling books of the British Sunday Times.
In 2002, according to a BBC poll, Hawking was ranked 25th out of 100 UK celebrities.

Who is the book of short answers to the basic questions recommended to?
If you are interested in physics and philosophy and want to answer your questions and concerns about the world and man, this book is for you.

In part of the book we hear short answers to the basic questions:
Tunnels of space and time are common in science fiction stories and movies. These tunnels are used in fast galaxy travel and time travel. Most of today’s science fiction is the real science of tomorrow; What is the probability of time travel? The idea that space and time can bend and twist is a new idea.

The principles of Euclidean geometry have been evident for more than two thousand years. Some of you who have inevitably learned geometry in school may remember that one of the consequences of these principles is that the sum of the angles of each triangle is 180 degrees; However, in the last century, people have discovered that there are other forms of geometry in which the sum of the angles of a triangle does not have to be 180 degrees.
Consider the surface of the earth, for example; The closest thing to a straight line on the ground is called a large circle. These are the shortest paths between two points; Hence there are routes used by airlines.

Now consider a triangle on the surface of the earth that crosses the equator, the zero-degree longitude line of London, and the longitude line of the degree travel through Bangladesh. Two lines of longitude intersect the equator at right angles or 90 degrees. These two longitudinal lines at the North Pole form a right angle, or 90 degrees, with each other. So here we have a triangle whose three angles are perpendicular. The sum of the angles of this triangle is 270 degrees, which is obviously greater than the sum of the angles of the triangles on the flat surfaces, which is 180 degrees.
