Description

The Book of Thieves is the name of a book written by Marcus Zosak. A novel about the life of a teenage girl named “Liesel” that takes place during Nazi Germany and World War II.

Liesel is the daughter of a communist woman whose mother was sent to a labor camp and is now being cared for by other families. Liesel, who is very interested in reading books, entertains herself by stealing different books and reading them.

Accustomed to his new supervisors, he reads the stolen books with the help of his kind stepfather, who helps him read and learn.

On the back cover of the book you read: “The book Thief is a shocking and very amazing story of war. A war that leaves the foundation of the family and leaves no news except destruction, death and displacement, but in all the darkness, there is still a glimmer of hope and a girl who, despite all the bitterness, wanders to the heart of books, a beautiful world away from the tumult of death and destruction. “It creates itself.”

In part of the book you read:
“The little girl’s book was repeatedly kicked in the middle of a clean-up operation, and although she was only ordered to clear a pile of concrete, her most valuable asset was dumped in a garbage truck and I had to do something at that moment.

I jumped into the truck and picked up the book, unaware that I would read the girl’s story over and over again over the years. I will see the places where we met and I will be amazed at what the girl saw and how she survived.

The only thing I can do is to put the events that happened to the previous girl along with the other events that I witnessed during that period.

The book The Thief by Marcus Zosak is a shocking and very surprising story of war.

A war that destroys the foundation of the family and leaves no news except destruction, death and displacement, but in all the darkness there is still a glimmer of hope and a girl who, despite all the bitterness, wanders to the heart of books, a beautiful world away from the tumult of death. And creates destruction for itself.
Liesel is the daughter of a communist woman whose mother was sent to a labor camp and is now being cared for by another family.
Liesel, who is very interested in reading books, entertains herself by stealing different books and reading them until… ..

The novel was published in 2005 and won many awards; For more than 190 weeks, it topped the New York Times bestseller list and achieved great success in both adult and teen novels.

A book directed by Brian Percival has also been made from this book.
In The Book Thief, Marcus Zosak chooses death as the narrator, and the story takes place in Nazi Germany; The period when the narrator admits that his head is very busy.

The Thief is not a novel about war, but Markus Zusak uses war as an element to illustrate the difficult circumstances of the protagonist.
The author shows the audience a part of the war that many people do not pay attention to; A teenage girl who tries her best to live in an environment full of anger and blood, to enjoy her life as much as she can and to share the joys of this world with others.
One of the positive points of this novel is the choice of “Death” as the narrator of the story. This choice can be very appropriate, since the story takes place during the war and the characters have to witness the death of many people in life; The narrator becomes interested in the little thief of books and adventures and decides to share his life story with the world.

However, the presence of Death as the narrator of the story and the inflammatory and warlike atmosphere in which the story is narrated have caused the audience of the novel “The Book of Thieves” to be in a dark atmosphere and experience bitter moments.

Part of the text of the book Thief
The little girl’s book was repeatedly trampled in the middle of the clean-up operation, and although they only ordered the clearing of the concrete mass, her most valuable asset was thrown in the garbage truck, and at that moment I had to do something.
