Description

And The Mountains Echoed: I take the chair across the room and sit by my mother’s bed. Now that my eyes are used to the darkness, when I look at him, I feel something fall inside me. I am shocked to see my mother so broken and wrinkled. Her floral pajamas are loose for her slender shoulders and flat breasts. I do not care how he sleeps. With that open mouth, he seems to be tasting a sour dream …

First Chapter. Fall 1952
Well then your heart wants a story, I will tell you, but only one. So do not make excuses! Perry is late. We have a long journey ahead of us tomorrow. You should sleep well tonight. Abdullah, you too. My son, now that your sister Bar and Bandil have closed the trip, my only encouragement is to you. I leave your mother to you.

Well, that’s our story. Listen, both of you, listen well and do not jump between words.
There was one, there was not one, once demons, giants and goblins roamed our land, a farmer named Baba Ayub lived with his family in a small village called Green Square. Baba Ayub had a large family and had to feed them.

The nights were exhausting. God lives every day, from the rooster crowing in the morning until sunset. He plowed the soil of his field and turned it over and reached his barren pistachio trees. Adam, at any moment he wished, could find him on his farm, with his back bent and his back arched like a sickle swinging in the air every day.

His hands were always calloused and bloody, and every night, before his head reached the pillow, sleep deprived him of his eyes.
Of course, only Baba Ayub did not have this situation. Life in Green Square did not please any of its residents. To the north and in the heart of the valleys, there were villages that were fortunate and had fruit trees, flowers, pleasant weather and streams of cool and refreshing water.
But the green square was ruined and abandoned and bore no resemblance to its name, and even the idea that this was once a green land did not occur to anyone. The village was lying in the heart of a flat, dirt plain and surrounded by rugged mountain ranges.

The hot wind of the desert, which did not stop and dust settled in the eyes. Finding water was a daily struggle, as even the deepest wells in the village had dried up. Needless to say, there was a river nearby, but
